Barletta, Romano’s negotiations frozen

Hunt for the first managerial pieces at Barletta, with the week opening without real progress in the choice of technical and corporate roles. The red and white president Arturo Romano, who returned to the city on Sunday, aims to make sporting director and coach official within the next few days.

The owner’s choice, in agreement with his collaborators, would have fallen on Bartolo Lorusso as Barletta 24/25’s transfer man, with Daniele De Vezze club manager. After an initial acceleration between the weekend and the beginning of the week, the negotiation froze on both fronts, leaving the two announcements pending. Possible implications also in the next few hours, with the parties that will update for any reopening.

The bench choices are also on standby, with Favarin having initially overtaken Panarelli in Romano’s choices. The agreement with the former Andria and Bisceglie coach, however, has not yet been reached: one step away from an agreement, the club and coach have stopped progress also due to the stalemate for the sporting director.

The position of the old ownership must also be evaluated, with the Dimiccoli family in possession of 40% of the company shares and still influential, albeit in a minority, on the technical decisions for the new season. Continuous confrontation, even with heated tones, between Romano and Dimiccoli himself: the announcements in the next few days will inevitably pass through an internal agreement within the SSD and not just the approval of the new president.
