There is great public interest in the bicycle exhibition ‘Faenza, Faïence, bicycles towards the Tour de France’, set up at Palazzo del Podestà which displays the bikes of Romagna cycling champions, their jerseys and much other unpublished material . The initiative was organized to welcome the historic passage of the second stage in Italy of the 111th edition of the Tour de France which will pass through the city and the heart of Faenza on Sunday 30 June. Also on display is a selection of ‘two wheels’, coming from the private collection of Vincenzo Collina, linked to the world of work and those used in the period between the two war conflicts together with works from nursery schools on the theme of the bicycle. In just ten days from its opening, the exhibition was visited by hundreds of two-wheel enthusiasts.

In addition to the static exhibition, Palazzo del Podestà also hosts a series of events related to the theme of cycling. Wednesday 19 June (8pm) will be the turn of the screening of the docufilm ‘Le Grand Depart’, preceded by a talk with the director Stefano Ferrari and the champion Gianni Bugno.

Opening hours of the Palazzo del Podestà, from Monday to Friday, from 5.30pm to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 12.30pm and from 5.30pm to 8pm. Sunday 30 June, the day of the passage of the Tour de France, from 9am to 12pm. The exhibition can also be visited by school groups and summer camp groups (reservations required at email [email protected]), in the time slot 9-12, Tuesday 18, Friday 21 and Wednesday 26 June.
