TRENT. Over 70 thousand pieces, many of which were specially produced by a specialized company in Milanalmost five months of almost daily work after meticulous engineering work and a decent economic investment.

The result? A wonderful reconstruction of the Buonconsiglio Castle made entirely with Lego bricks, created by Paolo Di Pietro and Federico Ioriatti of Dolomiti Bricksarchitects, surveyors and builders of a large-scale work, which will be exhibited in the gardens of the manor, near the bastion of the Diamond Gate.

How long did it take them to build a very faithful reproduction (precise to the millimetre) of what all Trentino people have called, for generations, “El Castel” or, even more simply, “Il Buonconsiglio”? More than 250 hours in a space that they have specially equipped to design (thanks to some 3D reconstructions provided by the Castle structure) and create the work, which will remain on display for free until September 13th and can always be visited free of charge.

“The idea is to show the Buonconsiglio Castle in a version different from all the others – says Samuela Caliari, director of the public initiatives office – and, when Dolomiti Bricks launched the idea, we were immediately enthusiastic about it. This is a large work, created at a scale of 1:100 compared to the original structure of the manor, which will measure 3.20 meters by 1.15 metres. The work that has been done is simply crazy: it will be completed on Friday, then taken to the indicated location for modular set-up and subsequently assembled on site. Since we publicized the initiative, there has been a lot of positive feedback and we have been pleasantly surprised. The inauguration is set for 6pm on Friday and, at the same time, tables will be set up with many Lego pieces available, to ensure that every child can build their own castle. And, for the little ones, there will be larger bricks. And then with this installation there will be the possibility of showing everyone the structure of the castle in its entirety. This would only be possible through drones, which however would provide a shot from above. For us it will be the way to show and tell everyone about the Castle even if, in addition to children, we also expect a massive presence of adults, given that Legos have no age.”

Here, then, the installation will be inaugurated on Friday 14 June at 6pm and throughout the weekend (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th, from 10am to 6pm) The “creative” space dedicated to all Lego brick enthusiasts will remain open.

The evening will be enlivened until 9pm by live music with the Trentino singer-songwriter Candirù and will be part of the “Castel di Sera” initiative which, every Friday allows you to attend the Castello del Buonconsiglio even after the traditional closing time.
