the Florentine University is third in Italy

Florence, 12 June 2024 – The Florentine University improves its performance in terms of sustainable development.

This is certified by its significantly improved score in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, the Times Higher Education ranking which examines the ability of universities to pursue the objectives of Sustainable Development set in the United Nations 2030 Agenda, through research and higher education.

This is where our University fits in in the top 10% in the world (1,963 universities examined) with a total score of 87.9, almost two points more than last year (86) and more than ten points compared to the 2021 survey. In the national ranking, Unifi consolidates itself in third place.

The Impact Rankings, San Marco says, use indicators to provide a complete and balanced comparison in four major areas (research, administration, awareness-raising and teaching).

Florence participated in 13 individual objectives and in three of these it positioned itself among the top 100 universities in the world. The best results were obtained in relation to “Sustainable consumption and production” (45th), “Fight against climate change” (86th) and “Industry, innovation and infrastructure” (89th).

Looking at the national ranking, the University is first in the ranking for sustainable consumption and production and second in the ranking for the fight against climate change.
