Iscot Italia, employment stability is worrying

The Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and UilTrasporti unions express great concern about maintaining employment levels at Iscot Italia, the company that takes care of cleaning at the Stellantis plant in Melfi. “At the last meeting with the trade union organizations and Confindustria Basilicata, Michele Sannazzaro (Filcams Cgil), Emanuela Sardone (Fisascat Cisl), Antonio Cefola (UilTrasporti) stated – the company communicated its unavailability, for financial reasons, with respect to the requests made by the social partners already the subject of numerous discussion tables. Specifically, the unions, in continuation of the discussion for the renewal of the second level agreement, had already requested the extension and remodulation of canteen tickets (provided for in a previous agreement) in favor of the workers and an adjustment of the contractual levels. We would like to remind you that the reduction in Stellantis’ production activity has had a negative impact on the cleaning company’s activities, causing redundancies which have so far been protected by the solidarity contract, valid until next October. Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and UilTrasporti, also in view of the expiry of this instrument, will therefore shortly bring together workers to jointly decide on the actions to be taken in order to protect employment levels and ask for certainties about the future”.
