Georgofili massacre, victims of the attack commemorated in Florence

(ANSA) – FLORENCE, MAY 27 – Commemorated, at 1.04am, the time of the massacre, the victims of the attack in Via dei Georgofili in Florence: 31 years ago, on 27 May 1993, it claimed 5 victims. Little Nadia and Caterina died, the first 9 years old, the second a month and a half, together with their parents Angela Fiume and Fabrizio Nencioni and the student Dario Capolicchio, 22 years old. A silent procession moved from Palazzo Vecchio to reach the nearby Via dei Georgofili where a wreath was then placed. Among those present were the governor Eugenio Giani, the municipal councilor Maria Federica Giuliani for Palazzo Vecchio, the prefect Francesca Ferrandino, the president of the Association of the families of the victims of the massacre Luigi Dainelli, the attorney general at the court of appeal of Florence Ettore Squillace Greco, representatives of the police forces and firefighters, candidates for mayor. Last night, in Piazza della Signoria, an evening organized by the Family Association, with an elegy for Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, ‘Nel Tempo che ci resta’ by and with Cesar Brie and followed by the concert ‘The cure? Culture’ by and with Letizia Fuochi and Francesco Frank Cusumano. Followed by ‘The cure?
