Bari, the Municipality has given the OK to host Team Altamura

At Team Altamura we are working on the stadium issue. The Municipality of Bari has given the OK for San Nicola.

In recent days, with an official note, the club had communicated the problem inherent to the situation of the stadium in view of the next season in Serie C. The company, in fact, by virtue of the redevelopment works of the “Tonino D’Angelo” was without a facility to indicate when registering.

A problem that now seems to have found a solution with San Nicola. The Municipality of Bari has given its approval for the use of the stadium. When registering, therefore, Saint Nicholas should be indicated. A temporary support to be able to redevelop the stadium and approve it to the criteria required by the Lega Pro.

In particular, the interventions will be aimed at the turf which will move from natural grass to artificial grass. Furthermore, work will also be done on the facilities of the facility: changing rooms, stands and the light towers of the facility.

In a second phase, there will also be work for the creation and construction of the press booth and for the adaptation of bathrooms and medical rooms, as required by the Lega Pro regulations. Various interventions are therefore planned for the stadium.

Team Altamura, the point on the stadium issue

Team Altamura returned to Serie C after 27 years. A promotion which however gave rise to the question regarding the club’s stadium. The facility, in fact, requires redevelopment interventions in order to comply with the requirements of the Lega Pro regulations. Interventions which the municipality had unanimously approved, as announced in a club press release.

Unanimous approval took place this morning in the city council regarding the work planned for the renovation of the Tonino D’Angelo Stadium aimed at making it accessible and usable in the next national LEGA PRO championship

The stadium and San Nicola

A situation that worried the club: “The Stadium must be communicated no later than 03 June 2024, under penalty of exclusion from the championship. There are only a few days left until registration for the next championship is completed and, at present, TEAM ALTAMURA CALCIO does not have a stadium“.

Now the club may have found a solution to the stadium issue. The Municipality of Bari, in fact, has given its approval for the use of the San Nicola facility. San Nicola which should therefore be indicated as a temporary structure to be used during registration.
