Faenza, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May Trat-Tour returns with tastings in the cellars

The eighth edition of the Trat-Tour of Oriolo dei Fichi arrives at the starting line, which at the end of May will return to offer a fascinating experience of wine tourism on the Faenza hills. The traditional two days dedicated to the best flavors of the territory and the meeting with local winemakers and artisans of taste will be held on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May in the countryside surrounding the ancient medieval tower which has become a symbol par excellence of capable slow tourism to combine unique landscapes, genuine traditions and fun. Participants will be able to move between the cellars on foot, by bicycle and on a panoramic carriage pulled by a tractor or a train, choosing between routes of different length and ease shown on a map that will be given at the start. The different itineraries pass along country roads or inside flowering vineyards, allowing full immersion in the colors and scents of nature. The meeting point will be the Oriolo Tower, where it will be possible to leave the car. From here on Saturday from 12pm to 7pm and on Sunday from 10am to 7pm you can walk or ride your bicycle to reach the eight cellars of Oriolo dei Fichi and taste the Centesimino, the Famoso, the Albana, the Sangiovese and the others typical local wines. A panoramic carriage pulled by a tractor will travel between the La Sabbiona, Leone Conti, Spinetta, San Biagio Vecchio and Ancarani wineries for the entire duration of the event, while a second circular itinerary between the Zoli Paolo, Calonga and Poderi del Nazareno will be crossed by a train. Both floats will also stop at the Oriolo Tower for the return only starting from 5pm. The daily bracelet for the tractor (reserved for people aged 14 and over) and for the train can be collected at the Torre di Oriolo at a cost of 4 euros, but must be booked online at the link www.torredioriolo.it/eventi-torre/ trat-tour-25-26-may. The bracelets are available in limited numbers and must be collected by 3pm on Saturdays and by 2pm on Sundays; any bracelets booked but not collected after these times will be put on sale directly at the Tower. At the Oriolo Tower, participants will find a refreshment point active from 12pm to 9.30pm where they can have lunch and dinner with typical local dishes to be enjoyed on site or consumed during the journey. Other refreshment points are also available at the La Sabbiona farmhouse (335/8343313), Ca’ de Gatti (339/2848391) and the Casetta Rio del Sol (339/8088302). Those who want to get around on two wheels but don’t have their own vehicle, thanks to the partnership with Deka Sport, will be able to rent a muscle bike (25 euros) or electric bike (35 euros) for the day on Sunday and collect it at the Tower, where it must be returned to end of route.
