Rotunda in Novara named after Carlo Mario Invernizzi

Tomorrow, Friday 24 May, at 5.30 pm, the roundabout at the intersection of via Valsesia and via Giorgio Perlasca, near the entrance to the Invernizzi SpA rice mill, will be named in memory of Carlo Mario Invernizzi.

Carlo Mario Invernizzi

Carlo Mario Invernizzi (1921-2004) spent his entire life, with dedication and sacrifice, to build the “Riso Invernizzi” rice mill, leading it, thanks to its great commercial capacity, to be a renowned company in its sector, present in Novara since 1890. For more than forty years he was part of the Ente Risi Council and from 1990 to 1991 he held the position of president of the Italian Rice Industries Association. Under his leadership the company developed and became one of the first to
packaging the rice in small pre-weighed packages with an automatic line that was cutting edge for its time, while until then rice was sold in bulk. He passed away in 2004 on 14 September: a heart attack struck him right in front of his beloved company and the roundabout that his son Marco would like to be named after his father to remember his commitment, dedication and honesty as a man and esteemed entrepreneur
