Knight Arvedi meets maestro Krylov, the violin festival begins

CREMONA – The meeting between the knight Giovanni Arvedi and Sergej Krylov, president of the jury of the Città di Cremona Competition, was held today, which marked the first official moment of the competition. Nineteen extraordinary bow talents between the ages of 15 and 26 from all over the world will compete in the City of Cremona Competition. The final stages of the international violin performance prize will be held in the Auditorium of the Violin Museum from 3 to 9 June, with the public having the opportunity to attend the three tests that mark the competition.

The first rehearsal for solo violin will take place on 3 and 4 June, that for violin and piano on 6 and 7 June, the final with the orchestra on Sunday 9 June starting from 3pm. The accompanying pianists are Monica Cattarossi And Roberto Arosio. The orchestra of the competition is the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, which will be conducted by Krylov himself during the final on 9 June, which will end with the announcement of the winner, who will receive the first prize of 40 thousand euros. The three tests of the competition are free to enter until all available places are filled.
