Until June 5th in Varese, the widespread exhibition “A story of many artists” – Chiesa di Milano

From May 20th to June 5th Varese will be able to live “One story, many artists” are the protagonists of the first 14 editions of the festival which every summer animates the month of July at Sacro Monte.
An exhibition spread through the posting of posters in various places in the city with some of the most significant protagonists since 2010.

«We had the desire – explains Andrea Chiodi, artistic director of the event – to celebrate this important milestone by bringing to the walls of the city the great protagonists of these years, who are certainly the most
great interpreters of the Italian theater scene. The idea of a traveling exhibition aims to make the images that show, from time to time, moments
of the various editions”.

The protagonists of culture who arrived at the top of the Sacro Monte were immortalized by photographer Giacomo Vanettihistoric collaborator of “Tra Sacro e Sacro Monte” who was able to capture the artists’ looks and gestures.
«From Casbeno to Masnago we will find the small cultural heritage of the festival with the faces of Lucilla Morlacchi, Massimo Popolizio, Piera Degli Esposti, Elisabetta Pozzi, Giorgio Albertazzi, Umberto Orsini, Gabriele Lavia, Federica Fracassi, Giacomo Poretti, Paola Gassman and Ugo Pagliai, Giovanni Scifoni and Giancarlo Giannini».

«Working for Tra Sacro e Sacro Monte gave me the opportunity to photograph extraordinary actors» says Giacomo Vanetti, historic photographer of the festival and author of the shots of this widespread exhibition.
«Through the photograph I was able to tell the emotion and the message that the artist conveys to the public, with his own presence and at the same time keep the memory of this experience alive».

The exhibition will end on June 5th, date on which the 2024 season of the event will be announced, which will have the XIV chapel of the Sacro Monte as its stage.
The 15th edition will be enriched by a special event, designed specifically for this important anniversary, to be shared with the public who always follows the festival in large numbers.
