Weather: a storm front will cross Italy over the weekend, the forecast for Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th

Weather forecast for the weekendThere are updates in the forecast for next weekend: between Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May a storm front will cross Italy.

In short, there is still no way out of this repeated instability and the cause must be sought in one deep low pressure area centered on central-western Europe which keep sending cold and unstable currents full of precipitation from the North Atlantic to our country.
It will also be like this in the last weekend of May. Be careful though, as is normal this season, that doesn’t mean it will rain all weekend: there will in fact be drier and rather sunny breaks, interrupted however, even abruptly, by the arrival of showers or thunderstorms.

Already since Saturday 25 May the entry of the storm front will cause heavy rainfall in particular on the Central-Northern regions, northern Puglia and Sicily. There will also be a risk of hailstorms, given the rather strong contrasts between different air masses; a bit like what has been happening more and more often in recent weeks.

During the day of Sunday 26 May the front will move towards The South causing several thunder showers; some rain is also expected on internal areas of the Centerespecially during the afternoon hours.Areas at risk of rain and thunderstorms during Saturday 25 MayThe news that emerged with the latest update, however, concerns the North and the rest of the Center (especially the Tyrrhenian side): in these sectors, in addition to generous sunshine, a strong increase in temperatures with maximum peaks up to i 25-26°C.
For a more general turn we will probably have to wait until next week when theanticyclone will try to gain space in the Mediterranean basin.
