“Isn’t this a City too?” The distressing situation of the streets and side streets of Capirro

In our area the atmosphere ranges from the Camel Trophy, due to the state of the roads, to the safari, among mice and snakes. It’s true, we are in the countryside, but this does not mean that the municipal areas, roads, sidewalks, do not need to be looked after and cleaned”.
Several residents of the area write to us about real chasms in the asphalt almost everywhere, and increasingly tall undergrowth that serves as a receptacle for mice and snakes. Not to mention the mosquitoes: precisely because we are in the countryside, the treatments, according to those who live in the area, should be even more targeted.
But the impression is of being in a city that doesn’t exist, if it weren’t for the door-to-door collection of rubbish which, to be honest, we are told, is precise and punctual. Next to the sign on Via Puccini, a video camera warns that the area is monitored for those who abandon waste. And under that sign a sidewalk torn up by weeds and full of rubbish. “We pay taxes like everyone else”, they write to us, and we report this complaint with the hope that it can be implemented, also because the situation has been raised several times to the Municipality but with poor results. Meanwhile, even just crossing Capirro for non-residents is a challenge for tires and axle shafts, but also a danger for those who travel by bike or scooter, for those who jog and so on. It’s also true that the asphalt is littered with sinkholes throughout the entire city, but you have to start somewhere, and the residents of the area are simply asking for a little more attention.
