Italy is still thermally divided in half between a North that is unable to warm up and a South that instead significantly exceeds seasonal averages by experimenting with the former fully summer values. Of course this depends on atmospheric circulation which continues and will continue to penalize the North more with rain and thunderstorms while leaving the South in almost anticyclonic conditions. A very similar situation will occur next week due to a new phase of bad weather. We will still have temperatures above average, up to summer values in the South and at most average values in the North. So here’s what we should expect:

SUNDAY TEMPERATURES: maximum values quite average in the North or slightly above average in Emilia. Elsewhere values above average with peaks of up to 28/30°C in the South.

TEMPERATURES MONDAY: temperature increase in the Center and South with maximum values of up to 30°C or even more in Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Basilicata and Sicily.

TEMPERATURES TUESDAY: decrease in the Center and South but with values still above average on the Adriatic and the South, a slight decrease also in the North

WEDNESDAY TEMPERATURES: situation little changed, values prevailing on average or slightly below average in the North and central Tyrrhenian ones, above average in the South.

TEMPERATURES THURSDAY: possible further decline in the North which would return the Center to below average, the South still above average

FOLLOWING DAYS: no significant changes are expected until the weekend
