Paolo Anibaldi it’s the new one health director of the Mater Olbia Hospital. It’s about the first paraplegic surgeon in Italy to work standing up thanks to a special chair, a unique example created especially for him.

Equipped with long medical and academic experience, born in 1966, Anibaldi has held managerial roles in Local health authority of Rieti. At 17 she has lost the use of his legs due to a medullary angioma.

He is best known for having performed in 2013, at the San Camillo de Lellis in Rieti, the ‘Snoll‘, Sentinel Node Occulte Lesion Localization. It is a technique that allows you to eradicate breast cancer when its dimensions are still very small. An intervention whose success is closely linked to the ability to interact between various professionals.

“Being the new health director represents for me a stimulating professional and human challenge, within a modern hospital and at the same time deeply linked to the territory in which it operates. The welcome I received from the management, the previous medical director and colleagues made me feel already part of a team” commented.
