SAN SEVERINO Car dealer robbed in San Severino: two ended up under house arrest. The investigation, which bears the signature of the Carabinieri, began on 18 December last year, when the shocking attack took place in Viale Bigioli. The scene of the violent episode was the car park near the middle school. It all happened around 4pm, right when the students were leaving after returning in the afternoon.

The reconstruction

The victim of the robbery, resident in the Ancona area, had distributed advertising cards for his business in San Severino in the previous days. He was lured to the city of Settempedana by deception by a woman who, pretending to want to sell him her car, had made an appointment in the car park. The trader arrived on site and was suddenly approached and beaten by two people with partially distorted faces, who had ripped off his jacket containing the wallet containing the money (three thousand euros) needed to purchase the car that it had been fictitiously proposed to him. The victim then managed to escape and call 112. A patrol from the San Severino police station immediately intervened. The trader reported the incident to the military, who started the investigation in collaboration with colleagues from the Carabinieri operational unit of Tolentino. An intense investigative activity aimed at identifying the perpetrators of the robbery committed last December in via Bigioli. The testimony of the victim and the immediate acquisition of the images recorded by the numerous cameras of the municipal video surveillance system, promptly provided by the local police command, made it possible to precisely establish the places and times of the event.

Coordination

Under the direction of the Macerata Prosecutor’s Office, the telephone records of the victim of the robbery and of the user with which the man had been contacted for the appointment were acquired. In the end, the investigations made it possible to precisely reconstruct the preparatory phases of the plan and identify the alleged perpetrators. At the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the judge for preliminary investigations ordered two precautionary measures: a man and a woman from San Severino ended up under house arrest.
