Riding in the good clothes. Ferrara will also be among the many cities, worldwide, that next Sunday 19 May will welcome the motorcyclists of the “Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride”, a charity and non-competitive parade, with classic and vintage motorbikes and participants dressed in elegant clothes. The aim of the event, sponsored by the Municipality of Ferrara, is to raise awareness and funds for the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer and for the promotion of mental health, two of the most complex problems affecting men’s health.

The initiative arrives in Ferrara for the first time thanks to the promoter Mattia Borghi, owner of Italian Classic Tire and project manager of Remoto, and the collaboration of the Department of Social and Health Policies of the Municipality of Ferrara, which supports its aims in terms of promotion prevention and will guarantee all the necessary facilities for the realization of the event.

There are already almost 110 people registered for the Ferrara tour and charitable donations have already reached the figure of around 1700 euros. The meeting point is from 9.30 am in Largo Castello, with the parade starting at 11 am in the direction of the “Lama di Valle Rosa” farmhouse, where refreshments and a moment of socialization will be held. The return to Largo Castello is scheduled for 1pm, at the end of a 38km circuit.

The funds raised in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will contribute, in particular, to strengthening the work carried out as part of Movember, the movement to raise awareness and prevention on men’s health. In addition to Mattia Borghi, the volunteers Massimiliano Strozzi, Emanuele Pasqualini, Stefano Zucchelli, Luca Ciliberti and Michele Caniato took part in the organization of the event.

Registrations will remain open until Saturday 18 May.
