Sport and safety, Mayor Principi assigns delegations to councilors Matteo Grammatico and Vincenzo La Pegna
This morning the mayor of Aprilia Lanfranco Principi signed the letters of appointment with which he assigned the delegation to sport to councilor Matteo Grammatico and the delegation to Civil Protection to councilor Vincenzo La Pegna.
As specified in the letter of appointment, the councilor Matteo Grammatico will collaborate with the holder of the delegation, the councilor Vittorio Marchitti, in carrying out the activities necessary to support the Councillor, with the aim of carrying forward the programmatic lines of the administration, oriented towards the recognition of sporting activities as part of the social development of the community, the high educational value and the strong ability of sporting practice to promote social inclusion, combating educational poverty and encouraging the development of new projects.
Councilor Vincenzo La Pegna, in collaboration with the Mayor as delegate for Civil Protection, will facilitate the participation and training of citizens through seminars, courses, targeted events and demonstrations that have the aim of promoting the activities carried out by Civil Protection, the culture of prevention and safety.
“These are two important sectors – underlines Mayor Lanfranco Principi – to which the administration intends to pay particular attention. It is essential for us to promote sports practice: sport unites, manages to break down social and economic barriers, becomes the bearer of important values that help children grow and understand the importance of teamwork, in sports practice as in life daily.
Likewise, encouraging the knowledge and participation of citizens in Civil Protection activities helps us to promote forms of active citizenship, to promote the culture of prevention and to plant seeds for a safer city. I wish the councilors Grammatico and La Pegna a good job, they will be a point of reference for the associations, they will act as an intermediary between the social partners and the administration, in collaboration with the relevant delegates of the two sectors”.
