PORTO RECANATI – Portorecanati bids farewell to its fans with a rounded 5-1 victory against pinturetta Falcor who will necessarily have to win in their last home match to secure a place in the playouts. The star of the match was the Italian-Brazilian Guillermo Mafei, scorer of four goals. Portorecanati without the suspended Petrini and Camilletti, while the guests had to modify their defensive line due to some forced absences. Oranges exercise territorial supremacy from the first minutes but the first opportunity goes to the white guests. It’s the 29th minute when a mix-up in the build-up phase from below causes the ball to reach the feet of Postacchini whose shot hits the crossbar with Piangerelli beaten. The goal that breaks the deadlock comes in the 36th minute. Bibini lets off a cross shot from about twenty meters away, the effect of which causes the ball to bounce on the ground, going over Piangerelli and ending mockingly in the net. Not even three minutes pass before parity is re-established. Personal action by Agostinelli on the right who lets loose a missile that Giacomelli rejects as best he can. The ball dances near the goal line. The quickest of all is Mafei who deposits into the net. In the second half the clock still doesn’t mark the minute mark and the oranges have the advantage… Perfect cross from the left by Gonzalez with Mafei who heads over and puts the ball behind the innocent Giacomelli. Not even five minutes pass and Mafei scores his personal hat-trick this time thanks to a perfect assist from Agostinelli.
Two minutes later Pantone was brought down inside the penalty area by a visiting defender. From eleven meters it is the same striker who scores his twenty-first goal of the championship and goal number 99 with the orange shirt. The match is virtually over but in the 63rd minute the new substitute Campanari frees himself well for the shot but the joy of the goal is denied him by a feat of crying. A whirlwind of substitutions on both sides with the orange team insistently looking for Captain Pantone for the hundredth goal in the orange jersey. However, it was once again Mafei who put the seal on the match as he collected a perfect cross from the right from the young Perini and beat the good Giacomelli unstoppably.
