From Velletri to Alicante for the Padel World Championships, today the veliterna Vittoria Merci is leaving for Spain

Vittoria Merci, founder of Velletri Sporting Padel together with her brother Stefano Merci, left this morning for a prestigious, unforgettable and well-deserved adventure: the destination is Alicante, a wonderful Spanish city, where our fellow citizen will represent the Italian National Padel Team at the World Championships 2024.

The athlete, creator of numerous sporting events in the area and beyond, is among those called up together with Alessia La Monaca, Anna Signorini, Sara D’Ambrogio, Annalisa Bona, Roberta Zandarin, Martina Camorani, Sandra Lazzeretti, Chiara Martelli, Martina Ghezzi , Gaia Giacchetti, Antonella Cavicchi, Letizia Lo Re, Valentina Beltrami, Chiara Dalbon, Silvia Storari, Sabina Da Ponte, Daniela Cigna, Vittoria Merci, Cristina Regoli, Marina Guglielmi.

At the 2024 FIP Seniors World Padel Championships they will take the field 30 men’s and 22 women’s national teams: a total of 52 representatives for a record-breaking World Cup in terms of participants, as can be read on the federation’s official website. All that remains is to wish the sailor Vittoria the best of luck as we wait to find out the outcome of the Iberian expedition. A piece of Velletri in Alicante is a source of pride for the entire community.
