BARI – «A maneuver to adjust and change the 2023 budget for over 100 million euros, 75 percent of which are intended to add resources to the regional health service. Fundamental resources, given that those provided by the government are not sufficient, with which we secure fundamental policies that satisfy the needs of the people of Puglia, first of all with respect to health”. The president of the Puglia Region, Michele Emiliano, said this, commenting on the resolution with which the regional council approved the adjustment and change to the budget forecast for the 2023 financial year.
«The good performance of the Apulian budget – he adds – allows us to add as many as 79 million euros of regional resources to integrate the insufficient resources provided by the National Health Fund, stemming the effects of state resources which are less than needed and which do not take into account the ‘increase in prices for the purchase of goods and services which, as all Italian families experience, also affect healthcare companies”, highlights the regional budget councilor, Raffaele Piemontese.
In addition to the most conspicuous item relating to healthcare, in the adjustment-variation maneuver the volume of regional resources transferred to the national government is over 14 million euros, as a contribution to state public finance requested from the Puglia Region. Furthermore, the transfers to the reclamation consortia amount to 4 million euros and the forecasts for the operating costs of the Apulian airports amount to 3 million euros.
