In Piedmont, the occupancy of ordinary beds stands at 9.0%, that of beds in intensive care is at 3.0%, while the positivity of swabs is at 20.9%.

This week there is an increasing trend compared to the previous period but the situation remains under control.

Vaccinations

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 10,934,887 doses have been administered in Piedmont, of which 3,347,001 as second, 2,965,734 as third, 822,623 as fourth, 192,036 as fifth, 15,209 as sixth.

Between Thursday 9 November and Thursday 16 November, 16,493 people were vaccinated: 111 received the first dose, 15 the second, 120 the third, 1,786 the fourth, 9,460 the fifth, 5,001 the sixth.

Focus on infections in the provinces

In Piedmont in the period from Thursday 9 November to Wednesday 15 November the average daily cases of infections were 583.

Subdivided by province: Alessandria 63, Asti 26, Biella 29, Cuneo 62, Novara 30, Vercelli 21, VCO 23, Turin city 127, Turin metropolitan area 187.

In total, on a regional basis, the cases in the last 7 days were 4,083 (+511). This is the breakdown by province: Alessandria 438 (+116), Asti 181 (+7), Biella 204 (+42), Cuneo 434 (+72), Novara 209 (-31), Vercelli 147 (+34), VCO 158 (-9), Turin city 891 (+96), Turin metropolitan area 1,311 (+189).

Incidence of infections in adults

In the period 9-15 November the regional incidence (i.e. the weekly increase in new Covid cases per 100,000 inhabitants) was 96.0, an increase (+14.3%) compared to 84.0 in the previous period.

In the 19-24 age group the incidence is 31.1 (+10.7%). In the 25-44 age group it is 63.8 (+16.2%). Between 45 and 59 years old it stands at 91.8 (+27.5%). In the 60-69 age group it is 124.9 (+27.3%). Among those aged 70-79 it is 170.8 (+8.8%). In the over 80 age group the incidence is 237.5 (+1.0%).

Incidence of infections in school age

In the period 9-15 November, the incidence in the 0-2 year age group is 36.4 (-21.1%), in the 3-5 year age group 3.2 (-50%), in the 6-10 year age group 5.1 (+13.2%), in the 11-13 age group 6.0 (-23.1%), while in the 14-18 age group it is 16.1 (+7.3%).
