Thousands responded to the Capitol’s invitation. On stage Amoroso, Fabri Fibra, Tananai. Security checks throughout the area and public transport active until 2.30am on January 1st
It’s under the gigantic stage of the Circus Maximus the largest countdown in the Capital to say goodbye to 2025 and welcome the new year with songs, dances and toasts.
The immense open-air space began to fill at 9pm for a New Year’s Eve night dedicated to music that embraces all tastes and generations: from pop to Alessandra Amoroso all’indie di Tananai and rap Fabri Fibra.
Thousands (the limited number expected was 40,000) at the official event of the Municipality which, having put aside last year’s controversies – after the about-face on Tony Effe for the accusations of sexism in the lyrics of his songs and the flat rate of the other two super guests (Mara Sattei and Mahmood) – aims for a multi-faceted trident far from the rumors, despite Fibra’s conviction for defamation against Valerio Scanu due to some offensive verses inserted in one of his songs.
To guarantee safety, widespread controls – hundreds of law enforcement personnel in the field – with pre-filtering systems and constant monitoring also thanks to the use of cameras, drones and helicopters. There is a rich entertainment offering for those who prefer a less noisy solution to a crowd-filled celebration.
The widespread celebration
Not just Circus Maximus. From the Parco della Musica Auditorium, passing through the Discobus and the Cinecittà World marathon, the events in the capital continue until the first light of the new year. Happy 2026.
