Bari will say goodbye to 2025 with a December 31st full of important events, including the New Year’s Concert by Canale 5 and Radio Norba in Piazza Libertà and the arrival of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Flame which will travel through the streets of the city in the afternoon.
For the occasion, Amtab has prepared an extraordinary plan including shuttles and changes to the routes. In particular, there will be upgraded shuttles in extraordinary evening and night service from 8.30pm to 3am: the service will involve buses A, B, C, E, AB. Extraordinary additional connections are also provided to and from the San Paolo, San Pio, Ceglie Carbonara and Torre a Mare districts (first trips at 7pm and return trips at 2.40am). Extended parking area hours are also available until 3am on January 1st with park&ride rates.
How to enter the concert arena in Piazza Libertà
As regards the concert in Piazza Libertà, scheduled from 9pm, access to the area in front of the stage will be permitted starting from 7pm, from the entrance in Corso Vittorio Emanuele on the Teatro Margherita side. There will be two gates available. Access will be possible until the maximum capacity established by the Prefecture for safety reasons is reached. For people with disabilities, a dedicated platform is available under the steps, with free access while seats last, from the entrance in Corso Vittorio Emanuele on the Teatro Margherita side. Dedicated parking areas have been set up, i.e. the last stretch of Corso Vittorio Emanuele adjacent to Piazza Garibaldi and the former Oriente car park.

The route of the Olympic Flame in Bari
The other big event of the day is the passage of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Flame: the relay will start from Corso Alcide de Gasperi, at the junction for the Tangenziale and will head towards Via Alberotanza, Viale Einaudi and the 2 Giugno park. It will then travel along Viale della Repubblica, Viale Unità d’Italia and the Duca degli Abruzzi underpass to then reach the centre, where it will pass through Via Nicolai. Then the landing on the streets of Libertà, including Via Brigata Regina, Corso Mazzini, Via Crispi and the Imperatore Augusto seafront. From there the caravan will enter the Muratti area, traveling along, among other roads, Via Putignani and Corso Cavour, to then reach the Araldo di Crollalanza seafront and end its route in Largo Giannella. The village set up in the roundabout will host the highlight with the lighting of the brazier amidst music, entertainment and lights.
Amtab provisions: bus and shuttle routes
Amtab, taking into account the Concertone and the Olympic Flame relay, has prepared some route variations valid from midnight on 31 December 2025 to 6am on 1 January 2026
Line 1 towards Piazza Moro: buses arriving in Via Piccinni will turn right onto Via Quintino Sella, Corso Italia, Piazza Moro (they will not travel along Via Piccinni and Corso Cavour).
In the direction of S.Spirito the buses will travel along via De Cesare, via Crisanzio, via De Rossi, via Piccinni, piazza Garibaldi, via Crispi with a resumption of the ordinary route (they will not travel along via Andrea da Bari);
lines 2, 3, 6, 13, 14, 16, 19, 53 and 71 coming from Piazza Moro: the buses arriving in via De Cesare, via Crisanzio, via De Rossi, via Piccinni, piazza Garibaldi with resumption of ordinary routes (they will not travel along via Andrea da Bari). In the direction of Piazza Moro the buses will carry out ordinary routes;
line 2/ in the direction of via Conenna: the buses arriving in Corso Vittorio Veneto will turn right into Via Pizzoli, Piazza Garibaldi, Via Piccinni, Via Quintino Sella, Corso Italia, Piazza Moro, Via Melo, Piazza Luigi di Savoia, Duca degli Abruzzi underpass, left into Via Oberdan, right into Via Masaniello, Via Peucetia with a resumption of the ordinary route (they will not travel along Piazza Massari, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Crollalanza seafront, Nazario Sauro seafront, Garibaldi bridge). In the direction of Piscine Comunali, the buses arriving in via Peucetia will turn right into via Masaniello, left into via Oberdan, via Capruzzi, underpass of Duca degli Abruzzi, piazza Luigi di Savoia, via Melo, via Caduti di via Fani, piazza Moro, via Crisanzio, via De Rossi, via Piccinni, piazza Garibaldi, via Bonazzi with resuming the ordinary route.
line 12 towards piazza Moro: the buses arriving on the Nazario Sauro seafront, via Giandomenico Petroni, via Carulli, via Melo, piazza Moro (they will not travel along the Crollalanza seafront and Corso Cavour). In the direction of via Fenicia-Torre a Mare the buses will travel along via Melo, via Carulli, via Giandomenico Petroni, the Nazario Sauro seafront with a resumption of the ordinary route (they will not travel along via Andrea da Bari, via Piccinni and the Crollalanza seafront.
line 22 in the direction of Piscine Comunali: the buses arriving in via De Cesare, via Crisanzio, via De Rossi, via Piccinni, piazza Garibaldi, via Bonazzi, corso Vittorio Veneto and resuming the ordinary routes (they will not travel along via Andrea da Bari, piazza Massari). In the direction of Via Torre di Mizzo: the buses arriving in Corso Vittorio Veneto will turn right onto Via Pizzoli, Piazza Garibaldi, Via Piccinni, Via Quintino Sella, Corso Italia, Piazza Moro and resume the ordinary route (they will not travel along Piazza Massari and Corso Vittorio Emanuele).
line 27 towards Piscine Comunali: the buses arriving in via De Cesare, via Crisanzio, via De Rossi, via Piccinni, piazza Garibaldi, via Bonazzi, corso Vittorio Veneto and resuming ordinary routes (they will not travel along via Andrea da Bari, piazza Massari). In the direction of Parco Domingo, the buses arriving in Corso Vittorio Veneto will turn right onto Via Pizzoli, Piazza Garibaldi, Via Piccinni, Via Quintino Sella and resume the ordinary route (they will not travel along Piazza Massari and Corso Vittorio Emanuele).

Shuttle A: departing from the “Vittorio Veneto-land side” rest area: the buses arriving in Corso Vittorio Veneto will turn right onto Via Pizzoli, Piazza Garibaldi, Via Bonazzi, Corso Vittorio Veneto and resume the ordinary route (they will not travel along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Massari).
Shuttle B: departing from the “Pane e Pomodoro” rest area, the buses will travel along Corso Trieste, the Nazario Sauro seafront, via Giandomenico Petroni, via Carulli, via De Giosa, via Cognetti (terminus near the Petruzzelli Theatre), on the left along Corso Cavour, via Carulli, via Giandomenico Petroni, the Nazario Sauro seafront, resuming the ordinary route; (they will not travel along the seafront of Crollalanza, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Massari).
