Beyoncé has become a billionaire, what degree does she have?

In 2025 Beyoncé has become a billionaire. She is the fifth musician in history to be able to count on such a wealth: her husband was able to celebrate this financial achievement before her Jay-Z and colleagues Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen e Rihanna. This was established by an annual ranking that revealed who the richest in the world are: of the 22 billionaires from the entertainment world “surveyed”, almost half joined the list in the last three years. Beyoncé attended the St. Mary’s Elementary School in Texaswhere she took classical dance, ballet and jazz lessons. Yale University course dedicated to Beyoncé

In 2024, Yale University, one of the most important in the United States of America, dedicated a course to Beyoncé, entitled “Beyoncé is making history: the study of African-American traditions, culture and political theories through her music”.

Il degree course is part of the training proposal of the Department of Human Sciences and Artistic Disciplines and focuses on albums from the last decade, starting from 2013’s “Beyoncé” up to “Cowboy Carter.” This course is taught by the writer Daphne Brooksco-founder of Yale’s Black Sound & the Archive Working Group. It is a community that wants to “explore the untapped diversity of African American sound archives.”

In an interview with NBCthe professor said: “I can’t wait to retrace his entire repertoire to understand how, among other things, his music was able to convey historical memory, liberation politics and many other issues related to African Americans and in particular at African American women. The continuous experiments – spanning genres like RNB, dance music and country – have provided her with a universal way of communicating all of the above messages.”

Yale is not the first university to dedicate a course to Beyoncé: in 2010 it was Rutgers Universityin New Jersey, to offer the course “Politics through Beyoncé”, while the University of Illinois at Chicago invited students to the course entitled “Beyoncé: feminist perspectives and citizenship of African American women”. The University of Texas at San Antonio, California Polytechnic State University and Arizona State University have also activated similar projects.
