The adventure started off on the wrong foot Tiberio Timperi at I Fatti Vostri: the host took over Except Sottile after several years running Mezzogiorno as a family. During the first episode of the new edition – broadcast on Rai 2 on Monday 18 September – the journalist became the protagonist of a gaffe with the colleague Anna Falchiat the helm of the show since 2021.

“Good morning, beautiful people that you are. Should I pinch myself? No, it’s all true”, stated Tiberio Timperi. Then he greeted all the hosts who took turns hosting the Rai 2 program and introduced the co-hosts: “Good morning to Anna Falchi and good morning to Flora Canto”. Addressing Falchi he committed the gaffe: “How do you say good morning in Swedish?”.

A reference to the showgirl’s maternal origins: it’s a shame though they are not Swedes but Finns. Anna Falchi’s reply didn’t take long to arrive: “I’m Finnish. You got off to a bad start, you didn’t study my biography”. A decidedly crackling start.
