Peace between Fedez and Codaconssworn enemies since practically forever, has unleashed the irony of Michele Riondino. The actor and director originally from Taranto, as well as the organizer of the May Day concert in his hometown, did not let himself be “enchanted” by the meeting between the rapper and the famous consumer protection association, letting himself go with some considerations that, in fact, cast doubt on the real extent of the charity announced by Fedez. And Codacons? Maybe for the first time he took his defenseresponding in kind with a press release.
The meeting and the “peace” between Fedez and Codacons
Associating Fedez with the word charity now seems like an extreme sport. Given his precedents (or rather, those of his wife Chiara Ferragni) there are those who have totally lost “confidence” in the rapper’s actionsas well as in its willingness to deal with matters that would require serious intervention. Among these, in recent days, there has been renewed talk of theIlva of Tarantoa context very dear to Michele Riondino who was born in that city and has always been committed to giving his contribution in support of his fellow citizens.
The actor and director has been organizing the May Day concert in his hometown for years and it is for this reason that he decided to have his say after Fedez’s statements, following the now “historic” meeting between the rapper and President Carlo Rienzi.
“Codacons and I, quite simply, sat down at a table, I am determined to end this litigation which would have led basically to nothing and we decided to seal this peace by trying to shine a spotlight on this issue that needs to be spread and have an echo. Our idea is to try to use the media wave of our meeting as a vehicle by making a common battle. On the sidelines there is also a donation of mine to the pediatric oncohematology department of the Taranto hospital, but it is not part of the project. For life we will try to bring the topic as high as possible to ensure that it is talked about”, Fedez explained, reiterating that he had already contributed to the cause in the past with some charitable actions.
Michele Riondino’s irony on Fedez’s charity
Riondino’s comment arrived quickly from the pages of Courier of the South: “We don’t want to take attention away from Taranto, it’s good that we talk about it. However, I don’t know what Fedez came to do and how he will do it. It’s strange that he arrived without warning us.without turning to those who have been dealing with the problem for decades, like us who organize Uno Maggio Taranto. In the past we have called Fedez several times to perform on stage and we have never received consideration. I am happy that now he is exposing himself with a donation where there are doctors and nurses who should be sanctified because they are fighting a war on the front lines. I invite everyone to take a tour of the oncology wards, a place of death where you can breathe a humanity that is good for the heart”.
He then concluded: “As for the alliance with Codacons, we could have organised a wrestling match in the square in Taranto and we could have collected much more”.
Codacons on Fedez’s side
Codacons’ comment arrived promptly with a official press release published on the association’s website, he defended the rapper, without mincing words.
“Michele Riondino, instead of criticizing those who take action to support the battle on the Ilva of Taranto, he would do better to use his energies in favor of citizens and victims of the steelworks – we read -. (…) Riondino seems surprised that important public figures like Fedez decide to embrace events like the one on the former Ilva, but we think differently: anyone who wants to give their contribution to the cause, and take the field in favor of the environment and the right to healthis welcome. An inclusion that must happen without envy and spite related to personal antipathies, and leaving aside one’s ego as an artist, like the one shown by Riondino with his latest statements”.
Finally, the piqued conclusion: “For this reason we invite the director, who has already done so much for the city of Taranto, to Don’t waste your energy on useless and tasteless criticismbut to divert them towards a common battle that must see everyone united and on the same level”.
