Il highest-grossing animated film in history in Italy. After two weekends of presence in theaters, ‘Inside Out 2’one of the most anticipated Disney and Pixar films of the year, has recorded a box office of almost 30 million euros.
One record after another for the animated film that is so far bringing together audiences and critics. Two details are striking when analyzing this result: ‘There’s still tomorrow’the phenomenal film by Paola Cortellesi, took 50 days to achieve this result, and the primo ‘Inside Out‘ had stopped at “only” 25 and a half million euros.
The film is driving the entire box office, in Italy and also abroad. In our peninsula, the box office value of the last weekend was 8,001,877 euros, + 76.7% compared to the similar period of 2023, when it stopped at 4,530,293 euros, there were no Europeans and the offer in the room included titles such as ‘Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny’ ed ‘Elemental’. But the appreciation is also notable compared to pre-pandemic data: in the weekend 27-30 June 2019, it stopped at just 3,391,603 euros, thanks above all to ‘Toy Story 4’ and its €1.6 million debut. In the weekend of 28 June – 1 July 2018, only 2,005,137 were collected (in the lead was ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’with 472,578 euros).
