Yesterday in Scorzè, in the province of Venice, it took place the 51st Cartoveneta Grand Prix, traditional event organized by CS Libertas Scorzè valid as a provincial championship.
Despite the sunny day, the fearsome mud of Scorzè was not missed and as always made the competitions very selective. Like every year, this event was able to count on a large audience.
The men’s Open competition it was won by the expert Friulian Nadir Colledani (Mondraker Factory) who remained alone in the lead in the second part of the race. Second position, 46 seconds behind, for the young Ettore Fabbro (DP66 Pinarello). Third position, a little further back, for Ettore Prà from Verona (Hellas Monteforte). Fourth was Martino Fruet (Team Lapierre) and fifth Leonardo Ursella (Jam’s Bike).
Among the Open women challenge between the Friulian Asia Zontone (Jam’s Bike) and the Venetian Gaia Santin (San Vendemiano). In the final stages, Asia Zontone managed to accumulate a decent advantage over her opponent which allowed her to raise her arms to the sky. Third position for Beatrice Fontana (Fas Airport Guerciotti). Among the juniors, however, Azzurra Rizzi (Jam’s Bike) won.
Among them juniors clear victory for Pietro Deon (DP66 Pinarello) from Treviso who made the gap in the first laps. Second and third place for Giulio Baccini (Ale Colnago) and Francesco Ghirardo (Team Bosco).
In the race reserved for students of the 2nd year the Friulian Riccardo Tofful (Sanfiorese) won, among the boys of the 1st year the South Tyrolean Emmanuele Gaspari (Gs Alto Adige) and among the students Nicole Trampus (Sorgente) and Irene Righetto (Team Velociraptors).
Among them rookies successes of the Treviso Francesco Barazzuol (Sanfiorese) and the Piedmontese Aurora Cerame (DP66 Pinarello).
Among the Masters, victories went to Marco Gazzola (Bibione Cycling) among the Band 1, Carmine Del Riccio (Sunshine Racerns Nals) among the Band 2, Stefano Nicoletti (Bealtrami) among the Band 3, Giovanni Parro (Zero5bike) among the Band 4 and Chiara Selva (Spezzotto) among the Women.
