Tétris, a JLL Group company specializing in the fit-out of commercial spaces, has completed the renovation works of the renowned La Pergola restaurantled by chef Heinz Beck. After five months of intense work, La Pergola reopens its doors revealing a completely renovated architectural look in line with the most modern trends in interior design.

Located on the ninth floor of the luxury hotel Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria HotelLa Pergola is the only restaurant in the capital awarded the prestigious Three Michelin Stars and Three Gambero Rosso Forks. This restyling marks the 30th anniversary of the iconic location, with an interior decoration project by Jouin Manku, a Parisian architecture and design studio founded by Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku.

The project has transformed the restaurant interiors with the aim of creating an environment that combines contemporaneity and tradition, paying homage to the city of Rome. The restaurant is now divided into a lounge area, an intimate room dedicated to cigar enthusiasts – the “Cigar Room” – a main room with a panoramic view of Rome, two smaller VIP rooms and an outdoor garden.

Tétris coordinated all phases of the construction site, completing the work in just five months. The renovations involved the restaurant areas, the wine cellarthe external terraces and the reception areas. The interventions included civil, plant and structural works, the renovation of the roofs, facades and windows. The kitchen and the area dedicated to the pastry shop were also renovated, while maintaining the original equipment, and a photovoltaic system was installed to provide electricity.

The spaces welcome customers in a dimension of unquestionable elegance, characterized by refined details, gentle surfaces and harmonious geometries. The new spaces are defined by natural materials with warm textures and tones, which recall the historical character of the capital. Among these, the precious fabrics in Alcantara and silk of the tapestries stand out, the terracotta color of the Italian tradition, and the travertine, present in the details of the console at the entrance, of the bar counter at the reception and in that of the main room.

The new interior decoration elegantly integrates a rich selection of works of art, including the Gallé glass collection and various paintings from the private collection of the Rome Cavalieri. These artistic elements are enhanced by a soft light installation on the ceiling, which penetrates through mobile panels creating an effect of moving clouds, giving the space an intimate and welcoming lighting. The project involved many international design companies and local artisans, specialized in tailor-made Made in Italy projects.
