“To take care of my skin I slap myself before going to bed, I’ve never had touch-ups. I’m not happy with how they treated me on ‘Che Dio cihelp'”: Valeria Fabrizi’s outburst

For years he played the role of Sister Costanza in fiction “May God help us”no Valeria Fabrizi is preparing to join the cast of another flagship title Rai1, “Don Matteo”. The actress will in fact be among the protagonists of the fifteenth season starting on January 8th. “I don’t deny I was dissatisfied with the limited space given in the last season of the fiction with Elena Sofia Ricci. But, at my age, I don’t chase revenge. I simply hate disappointing the fans’ expectations” he explains in an interview with the weekly magazine “Oggi”. Already at the beginning of this year he had explained how “his” sister Costanza had been left aside on the set: “Last season, my character went to hospital twice and there I thought and then said: ‘They’re killing me.’ And everyone: ‘No, of course’. However this year I was no longer there, only two appearances. The reason? Ladies my age are not insured.”

90 years old in October next year, Fabrizi still retains an enviable enthusiasm: “I’m in love. Of life. And about work” he says, revealing how this is the secret to his well-being. “This is why I enjoy good health. And I’m one hundred percent genuine: zero retouching” he assures, adding a curious habit: “To treat my skin, I slap myself before going to bed. They help circulation. In 2026 I will be 90 years old. I would be a fool if I complained about some negligible ailment. I don’t have a minute to waste with recriminations.”

A long career between theatre, cinema and TV, Valeria Fabrizi has numerous anecdotes to tell which have marked her artistic and human path, starting from the relationship with Walter Chiari. His lover, Ava Gardner, neither understood nor accepted our special friendship.
