Carlo Fortino, baby musical talent from Montalto

He’s only ten years old, but he has the energy and determination of someone who already has clear ideas. Carlo Fortino he is a child of Montalto Uffugo with a boundless passion for music. «My passion was born when I was three years old, even though my father made me listen to it Gold Zecchino even before,” he says casually. The decisive moment? «One day, while I was on a swing, I started singing “Westerners’ Karma” Of Gabbani. From there, everything changed.”

His parents immediately take him to singing lessons, and he falls in love with the environment: «I didn’t want to leave anymore. I cried when class ended.” For Carlo, music is a vocation that goes beyond singing: he plays classical and accompaniment piano, drums and even the guitar, which he taught himself. «I practice by watching videos online. I like all instruments, but my favorite is the electric guitar.”

A small artist between stage and TV

His talent has already taken him to important national stages. «I participated in the 62nd edition of the Zecchino d’Oro with the song “Lino Riggirino”. Then I went to All Together Now Kids su Mediasetwhich I won with “I Wanna Be Your Slave” by Moonlight.» There, one of the nicest compliments comes directly from Rita Peacock: «He told me beautiful words, which I will never forget».

Carlo also appeared on 101 TV with Piero Chiambretti and Fatti Vostri, where he duetted with Fabio Mondrucchio in a piece of the Blues Brothers. «Rai treated us very well, they offered us a hotel near the studios. It was a wonderful experience.”

Rock in the heart (and in English)

«My favorite singer? Freddie Mercury. And my Queen song is “Don’t Stop Me Now”,” he says enthusiastically. His favorite genre is rock and, if he has to choose between English and Italian, he has no doubts: «I like singing in English better. The songs have more strength.”

His relationship with music is constant: «I have lessons once a week, but I also sing at home. Even if I’m not studying a song, I sing it anyway, because I like it.”

The Trion at the Tour Music Fest

Among the most exciting experiences, there is il Tour Music Fest a San Marino. «It’s an international competition. I went there by car with my parents, 10 hours of travel! There I saw very good guys and I really didn’t think I would win. When they called my nameI ran onto the stage and immediately afterwards they took me to do interviews and photos. I didn’t even have time to say goodbye to mum and dad.”

Emotions mix with the desire to improve: «If something isn’t right, I criticize myself. It’s rare, but when it happens, I take it as an opportunity to grow.”

A dream with your feet on the ground

Carlo is in sixth grade. “My favorite subject is mathematics,” he says with a smile. But music remains his world. «I would like to become a singer. And even though I’m relaxing now, I continue to study, both in school and in music.”

On stage he transforms: «There I feel free. I wasn’t able to do many rehearsals in San Marino, I improvised a bit, but I was also inspired by Freddie Mercury for the movements.”

Despite his young age, Carlo Fortino has already had important experiences and knows how to move with awareness in the world of music. His is a dream that grows every day, fueled by talent, passion and a surprising maturity.
