Signorini, accused by Corona, is suspended from Mediaset

An unstoppable avalanche that is destroying pieces of television and the lives of many people. Yesterday Alfonso Signorini suspended himself from all commitments with Mediaset, which means that he will not host the next edition of Big Brother which should start again in March on Canale 5. The journalist and presenter’s decision comes after the accusations of Fabrizio Corona who in his Falsissimo format talked about a “Signorini system” made up of sexual advances, explicit or otherwise requests for erotic favors, dubious messages, in exchange for entry into the Cinecittà house or even covers in magazines. The “blackmailed” would be handsome unknown boys who, in order to become famous, would have accepted requests or in any case would have been the object of proposals from the presenter. The accusations – accompanied by interviews, audio, chats – launched by Corona have turned into a devastating vortex on the media, web and social media. After days of shitstorm, Signorini acknowledged that he could no longer continue the relationship with Mediaset and, at the same time, through his lawyers, after having already denounced Corona for revenge porn (for which – so far – the great accuser is the only one under investigation) announced a very harsh defense strategy.

Lawyers Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello, new lawyers for the host and director of the weekly Chi, claim in a statement that a “slanderous and defamatory campaign” is underway aimed at “destroying” the honorability of their client. “It is known – they say – that the main person responsible for this surreal and virulent aggression is a person who – despite previous criminal convictions – today would like to take on the role of judge and public prosecutor”. “To deal with these very serious illicit conducts, which are obvious to everyone, and above all the widespread reverberation they find in some nonchalant media, Alfonso Signorini is forced to suspend as a precaution all his ongoing editorial commitments with Mediaset”.

The decision was welcomed by Cologno Monzese which in a note states that it “will act with determination in all locations on the exclusive basis of objective elements and verified facts to counter the spread of defamatory or slanderous contents and reconstructions”. At the same time, Mediaset “reiterates that those who work for the company are required to adhere to clear principles of correctness, responsibility and transparency, as defined by the Code of Ethics, which is applied without exceptions. All investigations and checks are underway to guarantee compliance”. The same thing is said by the production company Endemol Shine Italy.

Corona, in support of his accusations, showed photos and chats between the host and the former competitor of Big Brother VIP, 2021-2022 edition, Antonio Medugno, who then filed a complaint/complaint against Signorini.

The former photographic agent claims to have “collected more than one hundred testimonies” and to be aware of “500 kids involved”, some of whom intervened in the following days in support or otherwise of the presenter. Gianluca Costantino, former competitor of Gieffe Vip, told, for example, of “exchanges of messages” which however did not turn into sexual relations.
