Ana ObregonSpanish actress and TV presenter, became mom to 68 years old thanks to the subrogation of maternity. The woman had lost her 27-year-old son in May two years ago to cancer. A new chapter is now opening for her. The Madrid magazine ¡Hola! he immortalized Obregón outside a private clinic in Miami – the Memorial Regional Hospital – in Florida, with the baby in his arms. The TV presenter had gone to the American city a few days ago to pick up the baby and spent four days waiting for the birth. March 18 was her 68th birthday.

The government against Ana: “Form of violence against women”
Ana’s case has rekindled the debate on surrogacy in Spain. The government is very clear on her position and continues to shut down any possibility of regulating this type of practice: «It is a form of violence against women». This was underlined by the ministers of Equality, Irene Montero, of Podemos, and of the Treasury, María Jesús Montero, of the PSOE, questioned in the hall of Congress on the case of the actress.
Ana Obregón, who is she?
Ana has participated in many films in her career, including Bolero Extasy (1984) with Bo Derek and Andrea Occhipinti. You also worked in some Italian television series, such as Voglia di canto (1985), with Gianni Morandi, Six crimes for Father Brown (1988), and others. From 1993 to 1998, together with Ramón Garcìa, you hosted the historic show ¿Qué apostamos ?, the Spanish version of We bet that …?
She often ended up in the crosshairs of the pink press for her many loves, including the one with the Italian-Spanish count Alessandro Lecquio of Assaba y Torlonia (nephew of the infanta Beatrice of Bourbon-Spain) which wrecked the marriage between the latter and the Italian model Antonia Dell’Atte; precisely from this relationship she had a son named Alex, who died in May 2020 at the age of only 27, due to cancer.
The legislation
The United States is the country that has been carrying out surrogacy processes for the longest years (an illegal practice in Spain), which can cost between 120,000 and 200,000 dollars. The first ones were made in the eighties. The most famous (from Kim and Khloé Kardashian to Miguel Bosé , the couple formed by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas or the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo ) have chosen this country to become parents because the legislation is more permissive and solid, as in the case of California. In Miami, for example, there are up to six agencies, according to surrogate.com.
