We’ll probably see her by the end of 2026. We’re talking about Dacia Evader. The name is still provisional but it is a small electric city car which will be created on the basis of the new electric Renault Twingo.
WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?
The city car should have an inclusive length between 3.6 and 3.8 metres and it will always be a true Dacia in terms of content-price ratio. In fact, we already know that this model will be launched on the market at a starting price around 18.000 euro. The design should reflect that of the latest models of the Romanian car manufacturer, especially at the front. The shapes, however, should be those of a small crossover. We can expect the Dacia model to feature a less rich endowment compared to that of the Renault Twingo and perhaps even lower technical specifications, but we will certainly understand more over the next few months. In any case, the autonomy should be in line or slightly higher than that of the Dacia Spring, therefore around 250 km. Not much but just enough for purely city use.
Certainly a highly anticipated model that could take advantage of the new regulatory category of E-Cars (small electric cars under 4.2 meters in length) desired by the European Commission. We will certainly know more over the next few months, as the moment of the official debut approaches. And the current Dacia Spring? It is probable that at least initially the two small electric cars will be able to coexist with the Spring which will then be progressively eliminated from the European market price lists. All that remains is to wait for news. Dacia Evader, if this is really its name, it will be produced in Europe.
