The renewal of the second level contract in Intesa Sanpaolo has been signed. In force from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2029, the agreement strengthens the corporate welfare system and introduces a series of measures on health, social security, parenting and digital transformation, on the eve of the presentation of the 2026-2029 Business Plan.

On the welfare front, the Time Bank is strengthened and the package of paid leaves for health protection is expanded, with particular attention to prevention: leaves for oncological screenings and urgent medical visits are foreseen.

On an experimental basis, after breastfeeding leave and until the child turns three, parents will be able to choose between further paid leave of up to 12 hours per week or a “very short” working week of four days, for equal pay. Paid leave is also provided for medically assisted procreation procedures, for ascertaining the child’s disability and for assistance to children with Special Educational Needs, including Specific Learning Disorders. Further concessions for child care up to 6 years old and additional paternity leave compared to current legislation have also been confirmed.
