The new generation model of Kia Sportage presents a larger size, reaching the top of the category in terms of load space, equal to 2,098 liters in volume. The front of the car features a large grille that spans the entire width of the vehicle, with daytime running lights integrated into the contours of the grille, giving the car the iconic Kia tiger face.
The futuristic image of the Sportage is underlined by the presence of elegant daytime running lights shaped like a boomerang, combined with diamond-shaped headlights. Kia offers three engine options for the new Sportage model, including a petrol engine, a turbocharged hybrid engine and a plug-in hybrid, allowing customers to choose the option that best suits their needs. The admission price is around 30,000 euros.
Renault Austral
Renault Austral 2023 It is an SUV characterized by a distinctive design, especially in the front view, thanks to the presence of boomerang-shaped optics and the large grille with the brand’s new logo. It features remarkable agility, thanks to the adoption of the rear wheel steering system, which guarantees greater precision and responsiveness while driving.
Renault Austral stands out for the implementation of advanced technical specifications, including an autonomous driving assistance system, an active emergency braking system, a wide range of sensors and cameras for monitoring blind spots and traffic management. The SUV is equipped with a latest generation internal combustion engine, associated with a newly developed hybrid propulsion system. The starting price is around 29,000 euros.
Alfa Romeo Tonale
Alfa Romeo Tonale it is a sporty crossover with particular attention to detail, also evident in the passenger compartment where the typical distinctive elements of the brand’s cars can be found. Among these, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard that reproduces highly refined pointer instruments. The mechanical base used is that of the Jeep Renegade and Compass, however Alfa Romeo Tonale features more direct steering and stiffer suspensions that improve handling and cornering precision.
The crossover is equipped with high quality engines, including a 1.6-litre diesel version and a 1.5-litre petrol version, suitable for short journeys. The 1.3-litre plug-in versions, capable of offering greater acceleration readiness and four-wheel drive, are equally valid. The initial price is around 35,000 euros.
New Ford crossover
There is a lot of waiting around the new Ford crossover. Recent leaks have provided details on the design that could echo that of the new Explorer EV but with a slightly more compact size and greater ground clearance. It’s not yet clear whether it will have third-row seating, but there are rumors suggesting a range of between 345 and 480 kilometers per charge, depending on rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configuration.
This new Ford corrosver will be produced at the Cologne plant and will be one of two electric vehicles added to the production line of this facility, along with the electric Ford Puma. At the moment, the official prices have not been disclosed, but it is expected that they will be between 28,000 and 30,000 euros.
Fiat Panda in crossover version?
It is rumored that the next iteration of the Fiat Panda may be released in a crossover version, similar to the current Panda City Cross version. The car is expected to use Stellantis’ CMP platform to offer a selection of traditional and electric internal combustion engines. The Centoventi concept car, presented at the Geneva Motor Show, anticipated a possible future version of a small electric crossover.
Although the release of the electric version of the Panda is scheduled for 2023, doubts remain about the Panda’s future as we know it today. But almost by definition, we expect it to be a highly anticipated model. Currently, the expected prices for the new Panda are still unknown, but are expected to fluctuate between 18 and 24,000 euros.
Lexus, there is the compact crossover
The new compact crossover from the Japanese automaker Lexus could be named Lexus LBX. This vehicle is an expected addition to the Lexus range, as it derives from the Yaris Cross platform, but offers a more sophisticated and elegant design. The information currently available is not yet complete but it is assumed that it will be available on the market in the second half of 2023 and will be equipped with one or more hybrid engine options.
Lexus’s strategy focus on elegance and hybrid technology it could prove successful above all in light of the growing interest of consumers in sustainable solutions, driven by increasingly stringent regulations and purchase incentives. The expected price for the Lexus LBX is around 29,000 euros.
