No sooner said than done: as the general manager of MG Italia Andrea Bartolomeo had anticipated in this interview, the Chinese manufacturer SAIC has chosen Italy for a new spare parts warehouse in Europe, already operational from today. It is in Tortona (AL) and will be able to accommodate 20,000 spare parts, reducing delivery times throughout Italy to just 24 hours throughout Italy.
In a space of 3,000 m2 inside the Arcese partner structureMG spare parts destined for Italian customers will be stored. Tortona is strategic because it is located at the motorway junction between Turin and Milan, a short distance from the Port of Genoa to receive the 40 containers that will supply it with the 20,000 spare parts it needs every month.
In three years Italy MG has already acquired 60,000 customers. The warehouse will ensure them a higher level of service, with a fill-rate higher than 95%. Delivery times will be significantly reduced (24-48 hours in each MG Store) compared to those guaranteed so far by the warehouse in Holland.

Andrea Bartolomeo, Country Manager MG and Vice President of SAIC Motor Italy commented: «The opening of the spare parts warehouse represents a very important milestone in the growth path of our brand and consolidation of the organization on the Italian market. The appreciation that Italian customers have
demonstrated towards our products fills us with pride but at the same time makes us feel the great responsibility we have towards them to respond with an increasingly efficient service. We are working intensely on the logistics plan and the inauguration of the warehouse is one of the elements that makes our commitment tangible. Furthermore, the presence of the spare parts warehouse on Italian territory allows us greater control of the entire supply chain and more punctual management
of the specific needs of Italian customers by maximizing the efficiency of the response and delivery times which will allow us to process orders practically on time
