Title: READING ALOUD “FOOD as a metaphor”

Readings freely inspired by the magazine HIROMag n°6 – FOOD Eight authors, chosen from among the great classics, to dedicate this seventh appointment of “Il Sabato dei Libri” to the reading of as many passages dedicated to FOOD and the metaphor that derives from it. The meeting between those who share the passion for theater and HIROAndCO which promotes, in its various forms, the passion for reading and writing gave birth to this project which, taking inspiration from n°6 of our magazine HIROMag – CIBO wants to accompany us on an indefinite and unexpected journey into emotions
aroused by listening to words and music.

Luisella Guasco and Michela Toni will read, as in a single theatrical act, passages in which the protagonist is FOOD as a metaphor, taken from novels and works by Luigi Pirandello, Charles Bukovskij, Karen Blixen, Giacomo Leopardi, Marcel Proust, Marco Ferreri, Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa to finish with Eugenio Montale. Music will also be an integral part of this event. In fact, each piece will be introduced by very short “musical windows” specially composed by Federico Campora, following the “Theory of Affects” that we presented in an appointment in Zirandea Garden last October, in the company of maestro Canzio Bucciarelli. Music is now an integral part of the emotional (affective) description of texts and/or images. Connections that are an integral part of our daily “affective” life.

desire to listen.

©Zirandea Garden is first of all a project conceived by HIROAndCO, a mental place that finds its physical space in the historic center of Chiavari (entrance next to the historic Copello pastry shop in Via Martiri della Liberazione) and confirms itself as an unusual, reserved green space , but open and welcoming, a mignon garden that opens up to the city through much appreciated initiatives.

This fifth meeting in September continues the format of Il Sabato dei Libri started by HIROAndCO last Spring, which includes a meeting that will take place on the Saturday of each month at 10.15am, according to the calendar, to discover emerging and non-emerging authors, until October , when the initiative will end to make room for new initiatives proposed by the Association.

The event is free with reservations welcome.
