Riva del Garda, vandals destroy a children’s toy and the book house

In an act of inexplicable vandalism, unknown persons shattered the book house of “Casa Mia”, the public personal services company that provides socio-educational services to minors and families.

The incident occurred over the weekend. The vandals destroyed equipment intended for children’s play and used it to shatter the glass of the bookcrossing house, intended for the free exchange of books. The bitter discovery was made on Sunday, when those responsible for “Casa Mia” found the house damaged and emptied of its books. Incredulous and saddened, the representatives shared photos and a message on social media to denounce the vile act. The post reads: “You ruined a children’s game and used it to damage our bookcrossing house. Have you really used your time and energy to vandalize two common goods? We have some advice: why don’t you volunteer? Thanks to it, everyone’s goods are respected and regenerated; you share skills and you can make a difference in the world. Civic sense develops and we grow as increasingly aware citizens. Volunteering can provide valuable opportunities: we are here and you?”.

Despite the bitterness, solidarity was not long in coming. The citizens immediately showed closeness and a lady, moved by the news, immediately proposed to donate books and comics to replace the stolen ones.
