Dimitris Priftis, head coach (UNA Hotels Reggio Emilia)

We have now reached the end of the year and it is clearly time to take stock. Several LBA teams, however, have to deal with their ranking situation and find a way to get out of the critical areas.

What could happen in the next few days? Which benches are most at risk? Who could possibly take over to try to put the situation back on its feet?

We decided to analyze the situation of those teams that risk having to make a change of coach to save the season.

Cantù Basketball

The bench wobbles, and quite a bit Nicola Brienza a Cantu. The Lombard team suffered their sixth defeat in a row against Napoli and are still without an away win in this championship.
Brienza is a highly respected coach within the Cantù environment and his bond with the club is deep, but his position is now increasingly in the balance.
Among the possible candidates for his replacement, as reported by La Prealpina, there is Walter De Raffaelecurrently free agent after the end of the experience with Derthona.

Treviso Basket

Treviso continues to languish at the bottom of the table, another home defeat against Sassari came over the weekend and the team, so far, has won two matches throughout the season.
Despite some changes in the roster, Treviso continues to struggle a lot and coach Alessandro Rossi’s position is increasingly fragile.
The club is already looking around for alternatives, according to what was reported to our editorial staff. Some rumors speak of a possible return of Marcelo Nicola, but Jasmin Repesa was also present at the match against Sassari in Treviso.
Could the now former coach of Trapani Shark represent the man capable of saving Treviso’s season? The Croatian coach, however, will first have to completely free himself from the contract that still binds him to the Sicilian team.
