Walks in the social painting of Matteo Olivero

Sunday, the ” Oliverian walks in Dronero ” invite to discover the places of the landscape that inspire Matteo Olivero’s works exhibited at the Mallé Museum. The FAI delegation of Saluzzo will guide the itineraries for an unusual study of the figure of the artist to which the Dronerese Museum dedicates the anthological ” Matteo Olivero. A path of art and life ” with large paintings and small intense works, among which some represent fuchines and water channels. These are the inspiring motifs of Olivero’s ” social painting ”, attentive to man’s work no less than to the grandeur of the natural panoramas, such as the extraordinary candid mountain of snow that captures the eyes of visitors in the third room of the exhibition edited by the director of the Mallé, Ivana Mulatero with Antonio Musiari. ” Oliverian walks offer a journey into the social painting of Matteo Olivero, between fuchines and Dronero canals. The narrators of the Fai will accompany the public on a guided path to discover the water routes and the Dronerese opera depicted in the works exhibited at the museum ”, reads the presentation. The paintings on display were carried out between 1904 and 1906 and are the same – adds the note – which were presented in the exhibitions of Paris, Turin and at the Venice Biennale. A revelation of the beauties of the town of Valle Maira for an international public.
