The news of the death of Michael Madsen also hit the community of Falllo, the small village of the Val di Sangro who had become his home in Abruzzo for eleven years. The American actor, 67, known for the roles in Quentin Tarantino’s films, was found lifeless yesterday in his home in Malibu.
In 2014 Madsen had bought a stone house of Maiella a Falllo, a municipality of just over a hundred inhabitants. “We are deeply affected by the news of his disappearance, it was a lightning bolt in a clear sky,” the mayor of Fallo, Gianluca Castracane, told the Agency. “He made himself heard often and asked for the country’s initiatives. Always very helpful, he had made friends with many people and had become one of the place. He would soon return to stay here in a more stable way, as he announced us ».
When he bought the house, Madsen told his choice with simple words: “After all, I am a simple person and I like simple things.” And he added: “I like people about this place: tough, true, proud.”
Over the years he had renovated the home and, when the commitments in Hollywood allowed him, he returned to spend time, participating in the life of the village and local initiatives.
