Who is Lola Ponce at Io Canto Senior/ The explosion in music, the calendar and a ‘special’ family
Lola Ponce, full name Paola Fabiana Ponce, is an Argentine singer and showgirl born in Capitan Bermudez on 25 June 1979. The woman will be one of the team leaders during the broadcast Io Canto Senior, broadcast on 10 January 2025. A great talent combined with a great beauty and Lola has slowly made herself known both on the national and international scene, let’s go and see who she is.
Lola Ponce began very young, both in singing and acting and at just 15 years old she participated in some Argentine telenovelas, which were very popular in her country. The girl left her studies early and dedicated herself to this world, in 2001 she recorded her first album but achieved success with the role of Esmeralda in the Spanish casting for the show Notre Dame de Paris.
In addition to this she improved the language in Italy and worked in 2004 alongside Giorgio Panariello to host a Rai program. He participated as a guest at the Sanremo Festival in 2005 and three years later won the Festival paired with Giò Di Tonno with the song Colpo di Fulmine. This success served as a springboard and over the years we have seen Lola Ponce become an increasingly protagonist. Over the years she has also made herself admired by posing naked for the Max calendar in 2009.

Lola Ponce was born in the Greater Rosario metropolitan area, she has an Italian father and a Spanish mother, her father is a musician who gave her a passion for music. As regards her private life, Lola Ponce married in 2014 to a Mexican actor Aaron Diaz, whom she met three years earlier during the television series El Talisman. The two have two children, Erin and Regina, born in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
Speaking about her arrival at Io Canto, the woman confessed to Il Messaggero explaining: “My husband Aaron is an incredible man, I accepted because he could follow me, we are always together”. Lola – who spoke a few months ago on Verissimo – also spoke about the relationship with her daughters to whom she is very close:
“They are very similar to me, both in terms of strengths and weaknesses. As a child I was terrible while they – to be honest – are wonderful. I am too full of gratitude because being a mother has given me absolute happiness.” Lola is very close to her family and appears every time – we also see her on social media – more in love than ever with her Aaron.
