Robbery in Maria Sole Agnelli’s villa, safe stolen
Night of fear in the villa of Maria Sole Agnelli, sister of the lawyer Gianni Agnelli and aunt of the president of Stellantis John Elkann. Shortly before midnight a gang of robbers broke into his estate in Torrimpietra, 320 hectares of land of which 120 of tall forest, a few kilometers from Rome, in a countryside area between the capital and the coast: four or five men, armed and with covered faces, who became protagonists of the robbery.
The bandits took the security guard, who was in the garden at the time, by surprise. The man was blocked and tied up in a few moments. At that point the robbers entered the house where the lawyer Agnelli’s sister, who is 99 years old, was sleeping.
The elderly woman, daughter of Edoardo Agnelli and Virginia Bourbon del Monte, widowed two years after the death of her second husband, Count Pio Teodorani Fabbri, was not woken up and did not notice anything.
The bandits in fact headed to the housekeeper’s room: she too was immobilized and subsequently tied up, to prevent her from raising the alarm by calling the police.
Having rendered the security guard and the housekeeper harmless, the gang acted undisturbed and achieved what was their objective: the safe which was inside the villa and which was demolished without too much difficulty.
