Road accident near Piazza della Pace: a car and a scooter were involved, the driver of which reportedly suffered serious injuries.
A tragic night in Favara in which, near Piazza della Pace, a road accident occurred involving a car and a moped. Two people were injured, one of whom – the driver of the scooter – appears to be injured critical conditions.
According to the first reconstructions of the carabinieri who rushed to the scene, the impact between the two vehicles was extremely violent. The boys on board the moped fared the worst: one of them was rushed to the emergency room of the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento under code red, while the other suffered only minor injuries.
Initially, the situation seemed even more dramatic because the young man was stuck under the car and it seemed necessary to request the intervention of the firefighters of the provincial command of Agrigento.
However, the 118 rescuers managed to free him without the help of the firefighters. The driver of the moped suffered injuries and traumas considered very serious.
The authorities are still working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. The city police are on site to carry out investigations and try to determine the exact causes of what happened.
