The dossier on the legal battle for the Agnelli legacy never ceases to reserve surprises and new elements emerge on the management of the assets of Marella Caracciolo. According to what appears from documents that Far West, the transmission of Except Sottilewill show exclusively on January 10th at 9.25pm on Rai 3, on 14 January 2014 the widow Agnelli allegedly carried out a banking transaction at a bank in the Liechtenstein. On March 10 of the same year Marella opened another bank account, again in a bank in Vaduz.
But the widow Agnelli, who divided her time between the various properties at her disposal, appears to have been in that period Morocco: his stay would have started on November 3, 2013 and would have ended on March 31, 2014.
According to the investigation, another operation also did not coincide, carried out on 19 January 2015, again in the name of Marella Caracciolo who, however, in those days was hospitalized in an Italian clinic. These are elements that lift new questions on the alleged payments made from an account of Marella Agnelli. Who opened that account? Who was operating in his name? Were the signatures on the various documents really his?
The battle for inheritance
The crux of the issue, after the shocking declarations of the president of Stellantis John Elkann to the French weekly The Pointrevolves not only around the legacy, but above all what it would have been actual residence by Marella Caracciolo Agnelli.
On this point in Italy there is an ongoing criminal case and a civil case between Margherita Agnelli and her first three children. The civil one concerns the inheritance and exact residence of Marella Agnelli. The goal is to question the inheritance agreements and the agreement with which in exchange for approximately 1.2 billion euros Margherita renounced the inheritance and the shares of the December. The Turin prosecutor’s office also carried out a search of two offices of the lawyer’s office Franzo Grande Stevens, looking for documents regarding the simple December company, through which John Elkann controls all the others, including Stellantis, Juventus e Ferrari.
The reason? The trust that managed Dicembre, created by Gianni Agnelli in 1984, was located in the law firm itself. Upon the death of the lawyer, his daughter Margherita sold her shares in the company and after the death of Donna Marella ownership passed to John, Geneva e Sheetwith the former controlling it at 60%. But the very passage of the shares from the grandmother to the grandchildren led to the investigation by the Turin Prosecutor’s Office, with the seizure of almost 75 million euros to the three Elkann.
