An important year of growth, the 2022-2023 sports season for Cus Camerino, which saw a surge in membership, reaching 2,121 units last sports year: almost 300 more members than in the 2021-2022 year, with a substantial increase among Unicam students and children under 18.
These are the data that emerged from the annual meeting of the Camerte university sports club at the end of last April. »Thanks first and foremost – we read in a note – to a sports offering that sees an increasingly wider range of competitive sections, now consolidated into ten disciplines: athletics, five-a-side football, judo, basketball, volleyball, winter sports, tennis/padel, table tennis, archery and sport climbing. Added to these are the other activities managed by Cussini instructors: beach volleyball, football, judo, karate, running, boxing, rugby, chess, squash, triathlon, trx suspension training, fitness activities, weight lifting, calisthenics, gymnastic and E sports activities -Sports».
In addition to this, Cus Camerino also showed itself in 2023, the year in which it hosted the National University Championships, a reference reality in Italy in the panorama of University Sports, with a constant commitment in 15 national university disciplines: athletics, beach volleyball, five-a-side football, judo, karate, wrestling, basketball, volleyball, chess, fencing, alpine skiing, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis and clay shooting.
At the last CNU at home, 12 medals were won: gold for Elena Tangherlini in foil and Marco Cruciani in mountain running; silver for Klajdi Bitri in judo 66 kg, Raffaella Lelia Ciano in judo 70 kg and mixed doubles Michele Romagnoli-Marzia Comparelli in table tennis; bronze for Kevyn Perna in judo 100 kg, Serena Fiordelmondo in taekwondo 67 kg, Angelica Ghergo in the 400 hurdles race, Marzia Comparelli in women’s singles table tennis, Nathaniel Solonirina Louido and Michele Romagnoli in men’s doubles table tennis. Bronze also for the judo and five-a-side football teams.
Successes to which are added the bronze in volleying for Marianna Matassa and silver at the European University Judo Championships 57-63 kg for Carlotta Advancedor.

A presence of the territory which is also expressed in collaboration with sports organizations (Acrusd, Associazione Camerino Calcio, Frecce Azzurre Avis Camerino, ASD Europe TT, ASD Europe Volleyball, Scacchi La Torre Smeducci di San Severino and Circolo Dama e Scacchi “B. Carboni “), both with schools (Camerino sports high school, Camerino high schools and the “U. Betti” comprehensive institute of Camerino with the “Community Pacts”), the Municipalities of Castelraimondo, Caldarola, Fabriano, Matelica, Pievetorina, San Severino, in addition to working alongside Feder Cusi for territorial inclusion projects (SeI – Sport and Identità and InclUniGames – Iug), Marche Sports Federations and Coni.As per tradition, the Cus general assembly was also an opportunity to reward some athletes, coaches and managers for their goals achieved in the last sporting year: Leonardo Meschini and Marco Zitelli for athletics; Sara Borsella and Giorgio Pranzetti for volleyball; Vanina Pazzini, Alberto Massimi, Alberto Paoletti, Pietro Quacquarini, Leonardo Rinozzi and Davide Tiberi for basketball; Erica Biaggi for alpine skiing; Andrea Calce and Matteo Carlini for archery; Andrea Capradossi and Sandro Materazzi for 5-a-side football; Marzia Comparelli and Matteo Belardinelli in table tennis.
